W. Michael Stapleton, M.D.

Board Certified Ophthalmic Surgeon

Dr. Mike Stapleton is board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology. He earned his medical degree from the University of Washington in 2005. He completed an ophthalmic research fellowship at the Cleveland Clinic, followed by an internal medicine internship at MetroHealth Medical Center in Cleveland, Ohio. Dr. Stapleton then completed his ophthalmology residency at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha, where he served as Chief Resident and received the Howard Dinsdale Award for Best Resident Research Presentation.

Dr. Stapleton has been caring for patients at The Eye Center since 2010. He specializes in cataract and eyelid surgery and in the diagnosis and medical management of age-related macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, and glaucoma. He has performed over 15,000 cataract surgeries and is committed to providing compassionate, high-quality medical and surgical eye care to the Central Washington community.

Outside of work, Dr. Stapleton enjoys spending time with family and friends and finds renewal in the outdoors.
