Richard E. Ehlers, M.D.
Board Certified Ophthalmic Surgeon
Dr. Ehlers is board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology. He has been practicing Ophthalmology since 1982. He did his training at the prestigious Dean McGee Eye Institute and is Board Certified in Ophthalmology. He has trained extensively in eye diseases and specializes in surgical treatment of cataracts. He is expert in and has performed more than 35,000 cataract surgeries. He is experienced in laser surgery, and the treatment of diabetic eye diseases, and macular degeneration.
He has provided care for patients in Yakima since moving here in 1986. He and his wife Debbie have 3 children and many grandchildren.
